Commercial Interiors Design In The Beauty Industry

Embarking on a new journey into the beauty industry, in commercial interiors design

“Commercial interiors design in the Beauty Industry. Passion Meets Purpose: Empowering Local Businesses through Unique Commercial Design”

Recently, I had the incredible opportunity to venture beyond my comfort zone by taking on a captivating commercial project. This venture led me to work  with a company called Eye Lush, a charming salon nestled in the heart of Quincy, MA, specializing in the art of eye lash extensions, waxing, and skin care.

The owner wanted to create a space that seamlessly intertwines fun, femininity, cleanliness, elegance, and a hint of shabby chic charm. In commercial interiors design, I understood the importance of balancing thematic elements with functionality. With that said, we make sure the layout was meticulously designed to optimize the flow of the space, ensuring that the salon not only looked stunning but also operated seamlessly. Each area was thoughtfully arranged to accommodate different services while maintaining a cohesive design language throughout.

The transformation of Eye Lush into a haven of beauty and tranquility was a labor of love, driven by my passion for commercial interiors design and my dedication to helping local businesses thrive.  The result is a space that goes beyond the ordinary, creating an experience that aligns with Eye Lush’s brand and resonates deeply with their clientele.

As a dedicated interiors designer, I find  joy in collaborating with local small business owners,  transforming spaces that truly reflect their brand identity.

Here is some  pictures taken before the major renovations.

The core mission of Eye Lush is to provide an inviting atmosphere that caters to the inner girly girl in every visitor. Whether it’s a loyal customer or someone stepping in for the first time, the salon aims to capture hearts with its delightful and appealing design.

“Infusing a Personal Flair into the Design: A Budget-Friendly  Upcycled Elegance”

One example of this resourceful approach was the transformation of a vintage faux chandelier. Sitting within the salon owner’s repertoire of treasures, this chandelier became the canvas for an artistic metamorphosis. Through skilled hands and creative vision, it underwent a mesmerizing change, blossoming into a captivating flower chandelier. The result is a centerpiece that not only exuded elegance but also encapsulated the salon’s charming floral theme, all while adhering to the budget-conscious philosophy that defined the project.

Another stroke of design brilliance came from an unexpected source—a wired dress form that was hanging around in the owner’s basement. By adorning it with delicate silk peony flowers, the dress form underwent a remarkable rejuvenation, emerging with a fresh and captivating new identity. Adding a touch of allure to the salon’s interior while staying true to the principle of making the most of available resources.

The journey of this project spanned over a year, encompassing everything from architectural and interior design planning to the demolition, construction, and final touches. It was an exhilarating yet challenging experience, as is typical with major endeavors. What added to the complexity was the unexpected pause during the construction phase due to the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic.

However, despite the hurdles faced along the way, the dedication and perseverance of the team prevailed, resulting in an atmosphere that captured the hearts of both the owner and the clientele. I’m incredibly proud to have been part of this journey, and I look forward to continuing to support local businesses in realizing their dreams through the art of commercial interiors design in the beauty industry.
